Just bought a mega xray and I'm in the market for a decent spraydeck that's gonna take a big hammering but is QUICK and EASY to fit in the surf. Any advice? Cockpit size 37cmx70cm (14.5inx27.5in)

On my plastic X-Ray I used a deck from my canoepolo kayak. I think the size is similar to a slalom kayak or a Riot Tekno.

Nookie probably has the right deck for you as the owner (Bill Mattos) does a lot of surfing too and Malcolm (Pearcey) uses Nookie gear on his own kayaks as well. Just mail them and ask, chances are they'll get the perfect deck for you. A friend of mine even got one that was not available anymore (but they had a few lying around) because it was the perfect deck for his Marauder.

Thanks folks, I've left a few emails in the ether as suggested, received some good advice and am now awaiting a couple of responses from suppliers.

The peak uk freestyle deck £55 fits really well takes huge beatings make sure ou get it in a riot size or get a nookie shock and latex in the same size slightly more expensive

Ive usd my peak deck for three or so years on my old revenge same size cockpit as the x ray and have used ot on the plastic mega boats too no problems you could be waiting a long time to hear from mega

i had a plastic x-ray a bought a brand new yak kyro splashdeck for it for £50 it is a deck size small and l/xl waist, i am willing to sell it to you if you are still interested, it has only been used 3 times and is in as new condition, the reason it has only been used 3 times is because the x-ray was too small for me, i am 6ft 1\" with size 11 feet i could only paddle for about 5 minutes before my leg went dead and my ankles felt like they were going to snap off. you can email me at [mail address protected from spambots with javascript] if you are interested, if not then good luck with your x-ray, the few times i did paddle it it was amazing, it was very tippy on the way out and i always had to have a paddle in the water when waiting for the perfect wave but when i caught the wave you just felt the back end dig in and off i went at high speed, i have surfed many boats and nothing comes close to this for speed, i had great pleasure in overtaking my mates on surfboards, the look on their faces was priceless!
