What do you know about 18 years 8 months ago #9635

Im looking too buy a new set of paddles, and whilst i dont mind my robson combats, i find that when im paddling frantically, my grip seems to slip out of place, so i have to stop and its a pain and theres quite alot of flex in the shaft,

im looking at upgraging to a set of cranked werner side kicks,

so as the title suggests, what do you know about them, good-bad etc

thanks in advance

I use the straight shaft sidekick and I think it's a really good paddle. I like that it's bigger than the player but not so big that it feels like I have to reallly force it through the water. I can't say anything about the crank shaft from personal experience but people I know who paddle it love it.

I use a set of cranked werners and like the shaft a lot. I've also used sidekick blades in the past and really liked them. I actually wish I'd bought my cranks with those on them, instead of the better looking double diamonds which perform great but don't like getting battered against rocks!!

before you buy an expensive new paddle , try this:

www.tenniswarehouse.com.au/access/Grips/pacific/softy.htm
(plenty of other sources on the net and in sport shops)

It's cheap and you'll be amazed how much grip you get and how much muscle power you'll save in your fingers.... make sure to put one strip of carpet take on the paddle lengthwise and then wind the tape over it at full stretch.

almost everybody that tries my paddle loves it...
If you're happy, you're successful.

I am big on the werner paddles. They seem to have the best power transfer of any paddle that I have tried.
