I was able to buy a really nice wheeled bag for my kayak (wavesport made it) off ebay... but can't find another one for my wife... anybody know where I can get a travel bag to fit her kayak for airplanes? preferably in Canada or Pacific Northwest... preferably cheap!

The bag gets small holes easily but it won't tear. Funny enought, I would recomend the bag as it is pretty good at transporting the boats

Is it specific that you need wheels?

I personally wouldn't wrap my kayak, it seems to encourage baggage handlers to throw it harder!

I use a cockpit cover to travel with stuff inside my kayak, coz it's a plastic kayak it can cope with the airport. I'm sure it gets more damage actually on the river.

I have a nookie neoprene cover (which is way more secure than nylon ones around), I'm sure it was only about £20. Really useful and it's never popped in transit.
