I use a PeakUK deck and of all the models I have tried the creeker is best for hard use as it has the kevlar reinforcement, and the freestyle the best for playboating as it has a dry lip. They are super strechy and so go on easy and don't implode.

Have a look on their website www.peakuk.com

I currently have a Brooks skirt and although tough I don't like the rand. The store I work for has also brought in SnapDragon to demo. They are awesome. The full kevlar deck is super tough, although expensive. I have paddled it on a Big EZ and you would take the large deck. It was very hard to put on the first few times but eventually it was manageable although still a bit of work. I was always dry though. Even my wife was dry with the deck and the tunnel size was a bit to big for her.

Yes i have used one and found it leaked like a sieve due to the ammount of stitching on it and it also imploded a couple of times in the alps and uk where my peak deck has stayed on and kept me a lot drier oh and they are cheaper so save some money and a get a peak one

Like I said I really like my Peak UK decks and gererally have a dry boat when I get out at the end of a river.

A couple of things to look out for though.
1. It might not be your deck leaking if you are getting out lots to look at drops and then get back into your boat with wet feet.
2. Lots of playboating generally puts some water into your boat through your spray top no matter how dry it is.
3. Some boats have a very poor sealing cockpit rim.
4. If you pull up on just the spary skirt body tube then after not too long holes will apear as if by magic between the deck and the tube. Needless to say they leak a fair bit!!! Always hold both the deck and the tube when putting on your deck.

I used to paddle with a playboater deck and it was a good deck. Not as strechy as the peak though.

Imploding decks suck big time. If it has happened once it will happen again. Get a new deck that fits better.

Those knee off straps that german boaters love are also a big \"deck imploder device\" you wouldn't catch me boating with one on my deck. I can get my Peak UK deck off with my knee even though it only has a front strap.

Working at a shop we also see that not all screws come from the manufacturer tight. We have sold a number of decks only to have the customer come back because the deck \"leaks.\" After I ask about the screws they go home and tighten them and miraculously the deck is perfect. A guy I paddle with, who has paddled for 20 years, just got caught by the same thing. The funniest thing is that he told me about it. You screws can also come loose during transport so regularly tighenting them should be something you do.

I have also found that if you back deck roll a bit more water seems to get in the tube.

I use Palm. Never had a days hassle. I used my previous deck about 5 times a week for more than a year and it is still working now. The kevlar decks are the best in my opinion. Very, very wear resistant. My new deck is once again a Palm in the kevlar version... Veeeery nice

The older deck needed a little aquaseal but now it's ready for another 10 000 kays

I personally use the Nookie V-Shock. It never lets in water, I get out and my legs are dry.

It's also reinforced on the top with rubbery stuff. This is way easier to get on, I find all the decks with kevlar don't stretch very much and I can't get them on.
