A few hours north there are some spots. Like the Gul. My wife used to paddle around there. I'll ask her when she gets back from visiting out there.

Around Toronto, there is the Credit River in Northern Mississauga. But that is only good in the early spring or with lots of rain! Then the is theElora Gorge in Guelph. Other than that the Gull is the most consitant, and by far the best technical river close to Toronto!! There are a ton of different lines to gun on the Gull to test your ability!

Cheers and have a safe summer.

I definately recommend The Gull River up in Minden. It's good for both experienced and less experienced. I believe its class II-IV. Decent little surf wave at the bottom too. I am still a work in progress for paddling, but found it to be a good challenge but not too hard (I didn't run the entire thing.. skipped the first section).

Also try the Madawaska river, not sure if its always running and I think it's a little easier.
