NRS shoes 18 years 6 months ago #9991

I am looking to get a new pair of boating shoes. I currently have a pair of low-top tevas, but they always get rocks and dirt in them during hike in/outs, scouting, ect. I am looking at two options with NRS. There are the Desperado Shoe or the Attack. I don't want something that will be too bulky inside the boat. Is there much of a difference in size between the two; does the better tred in the Attack make it a lot more bulky? What would be the best choice? I will be creeking, so I want something that would be good for hiking too. Are there any other good options?

The desperado's are awsome. You won't be able to hike with them, but you will be able to walk around the river banks, no problem. I think you should get the desperados, you can wear them forever and they fit in any boat. You may also want some seprate shoes for hiking that you can somehow clip or store in your boat, once you get to the river.
Desperado all the way! You'll love 'em.

The attack is the solid shoe out of the two however the trade off is that it is bulky compared to the desperado. The Desperado is more like a wetsuit bootie with out a zip. Whereas the Attack is a shoe.

Patagonia used to make a really nice boating bootie but I think they stopped making them, Palm do some kayaking shoes as do Montrail.
