Quicky, nice to hear from ya too! Yeah, depending on where I kayak or kayakfish, the reaction can be interesting. In California it's very common to have kayakers, and only the most mutton-headed captains give us grief. In Kona, Hawaii, where I go once a year, and where the fish get huge, the captains who run fishing charters do not have a lot of, er. respect for kayakers- especially kayak anglers. They don't like being "shown up" and because the big fish are close to shore, there are times when their clients see us folks in kayaks do just as well or better! Not always, but it happens, and it's funny to see the looks on the clients- and the captains- faces.
Tx for saying hello,
