Crazy 88, All-Star, or Vision 56 18 years 6 months ago #10320

I'm trying to decide on the new boat I will be getting next spring. Of these three boats, Dagger Crazy 88, Jackson All-Star, or Liquid Logic Vision 56, what would you pick?

Yeah... so any opinions? Out of these three boats only, which would you pick and why?

Right now my top pick is the Visison 56 - I like how short it is and the volume for air moves and river running.

Saddle-Up,

I was looking at the Crazy88 and the All Star a few months ago.
I now have an All Star and I'm verey happy with it. Make shure you test drive the All Star.
It's light, strong, verey comfortable, easy to padle and responds well. It's also dry.

it depends what kind of feature your interested in and whats around you. If you like holes a lot, the crazy 88 or the all star, if you are a wave person, all three of these boats would be good, but id persoanlly go with the vision, those tucked edges are SWEET. This is jsut my opinion, the vision would be a good whole boat too, but it doesnt seem to have quite the right volume distribu tion for huge loops. it can definelty do them, but they probably wont be as big as in the 88 or all star

I demoed all those boats before I decided on the V56. It's really fast for it's length (WAY faster than the AllStar), and is incredible on waves, and good in holes. The AllStar is much slower on a wave and doesn't have nearly the ability to carve. I don't play in holes nearly as much as I surf, so the V56 is great for me. It is the hardest of the 3 to roll--something to consider. I weigh 135 and have long legs, so I got the 56, and it doesn't feel too big. I also have a Star (which is for sale), but the AllStar was too big for me. I tried an 88, and it was fun, but much smaller. I've taken the V56 on some big water, and felt totally comfortable in it. If surf-ability is important to you, don't buy until you've had the Vision on a good wave!! Hope that helps. Tara
