Hello peoples

The Koppentraun is one of the most beautiful rivers from Europe, a paradise for fisher, hiker and paddler.
Private investors want to drain the river with a nearly 6 km long 1,8m fat pipeline and a following
power station. The community of Bad Aussee und many peoples are against that - why?

This project would destroy a nature- and recreation paradise (UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site),
and also violate the goals of the EU-Water Framework Directive.

The Koppentraun initiative protests against this planned drainage and power station and wants the
politicans to protect the river Koppentraun and declare it as a natural monument.

Help – like many austrian organisations (WWF, Alpenverein, Naturfreunde, Umweltdachverband,
Fischereiverband, and more) – to protect this nature jewel!

Sign the petition for the river Koppentraun and against destruction -
