Looking for some user feedback here:

- New ideas?
- Things that make you go to other websites every day, because we don't have them on Playak?

I've got my own ideas, but it's always good to know what the users want.

Any feedback welcome, as always :)

The polls in messages are no longer there, as we discussed already. If the software upgrades or if you have the energy to program it in again, that would be cool. :pray: Who agrees? Not at the top of the list though I'm sure ;)

Playak has virtually everything I reckon. Except for one little quirk. The button you click for ordering rain :bounce:

Podcasts! It would be awesome if you could find some way to have pro or companies do podcasts that get posted here. or piggyback on other peoples podcasts

How about a flows page or links? I go to this site daily www.dreamflows.com/ as well as AW's page for flows and the USGS pages. I suspect that it is too big an undertaking but you asked and that was my very first thought as the flows page is my first priority before every boat trip as well as the first site I check when net surfing.

Destinations. I go to www.paddleguides.com to find out about rivers I haven't been on. I am willing to help out with current info on BC. I know we just flooded so the info isn't quite accurate.

Nothing realy!
One thing that comes to my mind is a button for webcams
(:no: RIVERwebcams to be specific), like on www.kajak.at.

Maybe one thing can be added on the user profile. 'home language'. Seeing as though this site is so international. Interesting to know as well I think. :grin:

i really liked the paddle wiki on the old sight, even tho no one ever really did anything with it. Maybe if yout took the basic teps by setting up countries and rivers, maybe people would be reminded about the time they ran it or something and wold post a description. Also, this might be hard, but a Pro Forum, where an average joe like me can ask questions to a pro kayaker would be cool. Also, whatever happened to Playak Points? They were kinda useless but they couldve been developed into somthing or other.(rewards program?)

thanks. yeah, i liked that too, but it's a terrible job to keep the spammers out of that wiki.

also, the userdatabase was not integrated with the normal playak user database, so people had to register twice...

and, the latest version of that wiki software has system requirements that my system doesn't fulfill...

if i find a better solution, i'll definitely bring it back, but don't hold you breath..

In the upper left corner should be placed a button called \"BOAT REVIEW\". There would be boats listed by the brand and exact model. A reviewer would describe his body proportion and experience with the boat (pros and cons).

Mybe two buttons: BOAT REVIEW snd REST OF THE GEAR


There are reviews in kayaks section and gear topic (forums), but i found it like informations are to much displaced/scattered.

might be cool if people could put the boats they paddled under their names or under their post (maybe their 2 favorite, if they have more than one). The thread on boats people paddle is a really interesting subject but it has become too long to be of use.

another cool idea would be to have a section of playak whre all the members can have there own sort of mini page where they can post video, trip reports and then have a place where its discussed. i realize that this in itself could be an entire sight, but i think it would fit together nicely with the rest of playak.

ok that would be kool, sorry about that games review my computer broke so I couldn't go on it for 7 days, I finished it but I lost all my work on it

yeah, that was a nice feature in the old forum software :)

no concrete plans to program that in again any time soon. until then, you'll just have to copy-paste those extra special emoticons from other specialised emoticon sites :D
