I currently have a Nomad and the only gripe i have with this boat is getting to my gear in the back of it. I would like to replace my creeker anyway so what do you think to the following and any other suggestions are welcome.

Dagger Nomad (2007 version) What is the Difference is it just the seat.
Wavesport Habitat
Fluid – Solo
Ammo – L
Burn – M
Mafia

I know there are more but these are the only ones I can actually get hold of to paddle

Thank you

Ade P :)

I'm not sure about the boats really, but the large Solo comes in the expedition version which is such a pleasure for loading in gear. Also useful to put in large Pelican cases for those that take digital SLR's with them or larger video gear.

Check it out. Good plastic on them.

I looks like they make only the L size expedition model, but I would recommended the L size anyways as the M looks quite small boat for anyone, but the smallest paddlers.

The Fluid Solo comes in a small and a large. The expedition version only in large... Depends on how big you are but sure the large would be fine ;)

Just totally off topic. During some war long ago a couple thousand Zulus jumped across this spot in the river to join their mates who were fighting the English. The water must be several metres deep here. Possibly bulging out at the bottom. If memory serves me correctly it was about 130 cumecs, maybe more. The first boat was a Spice proto type in case you were wondering.

AdeP,

I think that you are looking at some good boats so will be happy with what you get. Let us know what you end upu wanting to buy.

give the Mafia a good go. If you want a boat the turns very quickly and is very sporty for the low volume, tight creeks then it's a good one. (of course the rear hatch would solve your gear problem, there is a good space behind the seat and in front of the bulkhead too for a throwbag and small peli box)

I have a DR Gangster here in the US which isthe same mold as the Rainbow Idra, just different plastic. I like this boat for some little extra speed in a short package.

I don't know what you weigh, but the Critical Mass is a large boat much like the large sized Solo (just a couple of inches difference). I am 165lbs (can't quuite do the Kg conversion in my head right now, late night...) and the CM is rather forgiving for someone as light as I am (thought it's suposed to be for bigger guys.
