Has anyone had dealings with this company, beyond buying a boat? Warrenty issues would be a good example. I am looking for feedback :roflol:, :frustrated: , or otherwise.

Hey Bigboy (Jayus that sounds Gay)

Not sure where you're located but I can only refere to my local distributer.
My own experience was having a small concern about how well the seat in my Huka was moulded. It seemed the plastic had not distributed through the seat evenly leaving thin spots. When I mentioned this to the distributer it was replaced immediatly no fuss.
A friend of mine also had a Rad that developed a crack. He got a full replacment again with little fuss.
So its all positive in Ireland in respect to warrenty's, well in my experience anyway.

Thanks for the feedback. I am in Canada and Bliss-Stick boats are currently shipped through Seattle, USA. I was worried about warrenty issues. I really don't see a lot of these boats around here. I was also curious about durability and fit. My user name was a reference to my size as I am a big guy (funny, I didn't pick up on the guy thing, but it made me laugh). The big rad caught my attention.

I've paddled the 180 and 185 in the past and found it very good on a wave, fast with good aerial potential. I personally found it to be a little unballanced in a hole and had to adjust how i kartwheeled not to overcook it on the tail. That said its a bomber boat for looping.
I don't think the plastic or finish on them is as good as dagger or wavesport but the price of them here (Ireland) reflects that well as they are about 200 euro cheeper than their northern hemisphere brothers.
The big one is probably one of the few playboats that work well for big guys and you could do a hell of a lot worse.
If you,ve tried the Wavesport project 62 and it feels too small well decision made. IMO
Hope this helps

hey, I am from Canada, Laura is my dealer and also the main representive for Bliss-Stick in Canada, but Bliss-Stick has no problem helping you out with warrenty issues....often they just ask for a picture of them problem then 2 or 3 weeks later you get this nice little package in the mail that will hopefully fix the problem. So dont be afraid to contract Norm if you have any problems, hes great to deal with!

The other nice thing about Bliss-Stick is they make a new boat and continue to work on it. stuff like changing the outfitting, making it stronger and lighter and slight tweaks in the shape. The newest outfitting is great! no holes below the water level! and a nice high seat for ease of throwing. I know for Laura the most popular boat for her was the 195 because alot of bigger people found it the only boat they could fit and be comfortable.

I would say go for it if I where you! excellent boats and you will not find a new boat at a better price!

Dont be afraid to contact Laura if you have any question! Or if your in our area of Ontario to come demo one!

I've had a Rad for almost half a year and it's worked great. i love the design, but all the complaints i've heard are about the weak plastic. to fix it, i asked the guys over there if they could put an extra layer of plastic on the bottom. they were happy to do it, and i ended up with a super durable boat. i'm sure that if you have a problem with the boat that you could just go to their website and email them. they would probably solve all your problems once you told them about it.

I have heard rumors of changing their rotomolding ovens or who operates them that lead to quality concerns for a while (but its only a rumour). I have only heard good things about the friendliness of the people who work for them. Interesting that a company would be willing to modify one of their designs. I didn't find Laura as a Canadian distributor on their homepage.
