hi,
i am new to playboating and i am in need of some help. i paddle a jackson fun and i am at the bottom/lower end of the weight range. i cant seem to double pump or get it (the boat !!)up on end. :frustrated: has any one got any tips ??? please:)

the double pump isn't an instant thing. It takes a while what is your weight BTW. If you are new to playboating, expect months of practice before you can throw the bow down. It takes a lot of muscle and skill. Look at Ken Whitings playboating. Work at a few things at once so you don't get frustrated. And when you practice, build up speed to throw your bow down. Also, alternate sides so you build muscle evenly.

Excitingly enough you have two choices here; either keep practising until you get it up (.....) or get a smaller (lower volume) boat. Don't give up too quickly, look on this section of the forum for those special tips on double pumping and just keep trying! It took me ages to get that skill.
On a serious note, eat lots of pies, it'll increase ur weight and taste great....

thanks,, il stick at it ...my weight is 55kg'sand the lowest weight thatt is surporsed to be in the boat its 54 ..

OK, seriously, don't give up then, with good technique you should be able to get that ring wheelin' away. I never reached even the suposed weight range in my S6 200 and i could still throw her down quite easily. Practice makes perfect after all...

It's kind of like rolling. At first it's hard and sometimes painful. However, with time it becomes effortless. The Double pump is the same way. It's all about angle and proper balance, but one you figure that out, it's pretty effortless.

I suggest watching Ej's basic play boating video (The new one) and also Ken Whittings video. Then find a warm pool and practice. It took me half a summer before it was an effortless move.
