Hi all,

It looks like Drakkar is not the only manufacturer of a composite playboat anymore. Mega (yep, the surfkayak guy) has just finished a prototype of a playboat.

Dang, I'm afraid the wife is not going to be very happy with another boat ;)

Cheers,

Michiel

or an Agent. hmmmm spuds all look very very similar now.
The composite boat will be much stiffer and lighter though so if you aren't worried about hitting rocks too often, then I\"m sure this thing will loop huge.
And you never know. Mega makes great surf boats. I wonder if they incorporated a lot of what they know or if they just made a flat spinny thing.

When somone has one (preferably someone who has had a surf boat too), i'd be very curious to know your impressions

I have paddled a few of the Mega surfkayaks over the past 2.5 years (X-Ray, Maverick, Marauder, tried the Mustang once too) and I'm sure Malcolm will send a testboat over to the local dealer for Mega Kayaks so as soon as I can test one I'll post my comments here.

BTW: length is 6'5\" and there are plans to make it in plastic too (if there's enough interest etc.).
