I used to own a G-Force 6.3 and used it in the surf a few times. It was not the most spectacular ride I ever had but for a slow butt-bouncer I had a lot of fun.

In the end I was too tall for it (I gave it a decent try though) and I sold it.

For beginners it's a decent boat I guess but you may need some help outfitting the boat as the outfitting is pretty basic.

The plastic is pretty good though so river should not be a problem.

Yea G-force should be a good beginners boat, know a few people who started out with them! A good boat to learn most basic playboating moves on and nice for surfing small waves at least! However dont know about about river running abilities...maybe something like a pyranha stretch, dagger RX, 7-0, ll CR would be more suitable depending on what kind of rivers you'll be running.

I think you'll find the G force to be very slow. If you want a playboat, I would suggest checking out a wavesport project or ZG.

Hi

I found a used G-Force 6.3 in good condition and with a very low price.

I'm looking for a very cheap playboat to use on very easy rivers, wave and flat water.

For most rivers i normally use my Dagger Outlaw (it's old but i love it) and for most technical stuff ( IV+ ... V ) i have a creek boat.
So this is going to be my third and less used boat.

i am 177 cm and 80 Kg, feet size is 10

Do you think it would be a suitable boat?

Ciao

I don't know what you mean with low price but you will fit in the boat pretyy well (I managed to squeeze myself in and I am 1.94)

For ocean waves I think the G-force is a bit slow but you will have a lot of fun with it on flatwater and easy white water.

So, if it is really cheap, buy it and enjoy it :D

Thanks for the info.
I hope to buy and use it on 24/25 march week end were there is a meeting in Liguria on Vara river.
It's a quite famous meeting and the river is very suitable for playboat and/or beginners
There are also a couple a nice play spot along the river.

As soon as possible i'll write a review.

The one thing I found lacking in the G-Force was rear volume. It was quite funny to see a picture of Simon Hirther in an old (march 2003) issue of Playboating magazine where he is paddling a G-Force 6.3 but has some foam stuck to the rear deck of his boat. It's almost like he did this to increase the rear volume. I'm not sure if it worked or not .

Cheers,

Michiel

I bought yesterday! :)
I was at the Vara Meeting in italy. There is a very easy river with a couple of spot.
I had lot of fun with the GForce!
Well the big playspot shacked me a lot :D
Now, i'm going to tune seat and foam, but i found myself quite comfortable

Congratulations on your new toy! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with it, especially after you tuned it to fit you.

Have fun and if you can, post some pictures :D

Would you be able to run small 1-3 rivers and creeks with one of these? Its labeled in the archives as an all rounder.

I'd avoid the creeks in it... 1-3 rivers are fine. A paddling buddy of mine paddles one of these and a P52. She paddles the Dagger most of the time on water she is not familiar with... Seems like a good boat and i know that mmost ppl who have them, like them.

Maybe you know these rivers: Socha in Slovenia and Sesia in Italy.
i used GForce on it.
On Socha i did Cave, slalom field, and from km9 to Kobarid. There was a good level.
On Sesia, from Balmuccia to Varallo (but avoiding Balmuccia rapid).
For my skill this is the most i can use this boat.
Basically up to class III it's ok, maybe some IV passage, but for me no more than this with GForce
