Wavesport EZG 50 or Dagger RX 6.7 18 years 2 months ago #13142

I was wondering if anybody knows what the differences between the EZG 50 and RX 6.7. I was originally going to get an EZG 42, because I am about 5'6, 125 lbs, but several people suggested that since I am more interested in river running than playing, I should get the bigger size that will still do some playing. So now I need to decide between the EZG and RX. They look very similar to me. Does anyone have experience with either or both of these boats?

I have paddled them both on the same day a few times. The RX has 2 gallons more of volume and the cockpits of the two feel different. Out of the 4 or 5 guys I paddle with we are about evenly split on which one we like the most. I own an EZG so I usually stick with it (maybe to justify $ spent). One of the other guys changes back and forth depending on how long he will be in the boat. He finds that his feet don't fall asleep in the EZG but he actually own an RX.

Ultimately I think it comes down to personal preference. If you can paddle both, either one is a great boat.
