I paddle the Flirt, the large variety. It is big but so am I (6'6\" 205lbs) and I love it, I am not that good at playboating yet but it it's great for my purposes. I have heard that it is not really as playful as some boats but I've never had any problems.

If you want more info on the size the it would be good to know what are you looking to do in it, how big are you and what size would you be looking at.

its a good boat. Try it. Is it worth it? Of course. It will take you down the river and have fun along the way, just like every other boat.

Nice pic, looks like a Jackson team paddler on the Zambezi

You probably won't be sorry. Have you thought about waiting for the Nemesis. It should be out this month or the next. Something like that. It's a full on playboat and doesn't have the river runnning potential that the Flirt offers. Something to bear in mind. Not sure what your end goal is. Have fun. I've paddle all the Flirt in all 3 sizes. Pretty sweet little boat. The large is too large for me and it feels lethargic for my body weight. For river running it would be not bad at all. The small for me is very, very cramped and flushes easily because of the low volume compared to my weight. The medium is about right. I weigh 187 lbs, which is 85 kg. I'm 6 foot. Hope that also helps..

16.5 stone is about 220lbs (I need to know these things I'm half English and Half American) That puts you in the Large weight range pretty squarely.

I paddle a medium Flirt and I absolutely love it. It took me some time to outfit is as I am 6'4\" and 83 kilo's so weight wise in the medium range but lengthwise in the large range.

However now the boat is outfitted I am really happy with it.

BTW: the Flirt is really awesome for cartwheeling: it wheels really fast and I can probably even wheel the large (haven't tried iit yet but given that the medium doesn't take any effort the large should not be a problem either). Even on flatwater (most of my playground is flat :( ) this boat is fun.

But, you have to try before you buy because it might not be the boat for you, this is always really personal and another person's experience may not be yours.
