My brother-in-law is after a cheap plastic kayak as he wants to try to get into the sport but doesnt want to spend a fortune on kitting out, can anyone help with a cheap river running boat, something thats nice and stable for a beginner but something in plastic rather than fibreglass, he has a budget of around £150, been looking on ebay but theres not much about thats not a playboat, hes based in Leeds and I'm in Sheffield, but were willing to travel within reason to collect for the right boat. Im sure all you goodwilled and generous paddling folk out there can help to get someone on the water, thanks:)

Ebay seems a bit of a strange one for boats ie the cheap nasty old fibre glass boaats go for over the odds like £150 each. and the newer plastic boats dont always sell for alot. It could be worth asking at your local club sessions as theres normally a couple of boats people are trying to sell. Goodluck
