wavesport ezg ? 18 years 1 month ago #15478

Does anyone know how good the wavesport ezg 50 is as an all arounder? I hear its a good playboat but i am wondering how well it resurfaces after a plunge. I am 170lb and 6 foot so i think this should be a good fit.

I have got the 60 and really love it. Can't complain about anything except maybe the plastic which is too soft. There are some pics here of it (blue/white):

The 50 might suit you well but as soon as you start adding lots of stuff like split paddles, first aid kit, food for the day, water, throw bag and other rescue stuff, the boat might not be as friendly. The 60 is big and for your weight, will limit your playability. I am about 190 lbs. On the other hand, if you have the technique you will still be able to rip. Pity there is not a 55 gallon version..

It is very stable in rapids and punches holes nicely. It is super easy to cartwheel, very balanced. I can also floop mine. Edges are higher than my ZG and don't trip up too easily. I have very rarely been backlooped with this boat.
;) Just my :2cents:

I have the 50 and am about 185 lb. I love it for everything. I ran my first class IV in it and play in it a few days a week. The group I paddle with splits up group gear, like a split paddle and first aid kit. We had more than one of each in different boats so if one person swims and we needed the stuff in that boat we are still okay.
