Which of the fins off these sites link link would be best to start with? Id be using them for ocean surf on a flirt M, Im about 75 kg if that makes any difference. The cabrinha surf fins say they fit standard mountings but the picture looks different.

Hey Chud, it all depends on what you want to do in the ocean - larger fins will allow you to hold the rail better and thus a harder and faster carve but you'll sacrifice a number of the regular freestyle moves, these would be ideal for big powerful waves where you're not going to worry about freestyle moves.
Smaller fins still make the boat carve well but at less expense to your ability to throw moves.
Hope this helps a bit

It could be worth getting a few sets and playing around to find out what you most like. My riot for example came with 4 2inche fins that worked ok still let you do spin based moves, my surf boat came with 3.5inche fins and again spins were fine but with the added advantage of being able to carve better, I have bigger fins for big days or my normal set up is 3.5inch sides with a 5.5inche cutback centre to give drive but still can do all spin based moves.

Even the 1 inche fins will do something but you may find that you cant hold the boat on a carve as easily as they may slide out Ie you slide sideways down the wave into the trough.

Have fun
