dagger 6.2 or Pyranha acrobat 17 years 9 months ago #16691

I was thinking about purchasing one of these kayaks. Both are used, $300.00. What am I looking at equipment (beginner, never kayak) wise? Another $300.00 from what my research has shown. Also, are these acceptable for taking on a river (the Susquehanna specifically)? I have been looking around these forums and found quite a bit of good info. Or would I be better of joining my local canoe/kayak club and testing some models? Tia.

Which Dagger 6.2? The Kingpin: Icon 6.2? Kingpin 6.2? G-Ride 6.2? Crazy88 6.2? Agent 6.2? There are a few models with that same designation.

The dagger is the G ride:grin: Thanks for the replies so far. I would like to take the Kayak on a few 15-30 miles trips as well as playboating.

Acro will be easier to learn to paddle... more forgiving than the g-ride...but the g-ride is a pretty easy going boat...which do you prefer?

it is hard to paddle a g ride far the acrobat is better for going on longish trips
