I am developing a new service that allows registered users to collect things they are interested in in a 'My Stuff' box. The idea is that you can have your local gauges, boats, events etc right on the Playak front page.

Currently it works for gauges and boats. If people find this feauture useful, I will add events, links, map markers, you name it. Depends on your feedback.

To try it out, go to your local flow page, or view the details of a kayak that you own, and then click on the little Heart icon to add it to your stuff.

Then go back to the Playak frontpage, and voila, it's at the bottom.

Feedback welcome as always...

That’s pretty cool. Maybe don’t put it on the front page. Perhaps a link on the front page to another page that holds all of ‘my stuff’? The front page is pretty busy already.

Then another thing - maybe a small button to remove anything from the list without having to go into it first to click the ‘remove from my stuff’.

Can this feature be added to almost ‘bookmark’ specific pages, like a kayak review, or a spot description, etc? That would be great.

Have you seen on Facebook those drop down menus? That would work well on the Playak front page. Where you can arrange various things like news or forums or articles to wherever you wish and then decide which menus you want to be displayed and which not. I have no idea whether it’s possible because of the software etc. I’m no programmer as you know… ;-)

Just some thoughts..

i know the front page is full, but i personally find it very handy to see my local water levels right at the bottom of the front page...

btw you can remove items right on the front page too. just click the little heart next to the item, and poof...

will have a look at the facebook features.

thanks for the feedback.

Cool, I got it. :D

Have a look. Moving the menus around and making them the 'drop down' type would be great.

Would do other people think? :ask: Any more suggestions?

I have quite a few flows that I've added to my stuff so that I can monitor them. But now they are one on top of the other and I've got to scroll down pretty far. Any plan to make it wider...? For ease of viewing :roflol:

i think so far you and i are the only ones that are using this feature, and i have only one gauge in My Stuff. I'm not gonna program that specially for you :D
Let's see if more people start using it. Personally i find it rally handy to have my local flow right on the playak front page and i'm sure it would be extremely handy for loads of users, but we can't force people's happiness upon them :)

Thanks Jeroen! It looks sweet and is working well for me. For those that don't know here is a screen shot of how my Playak front page looks at the bottom:

Below that I have some boats added too. It's really quick and easy to see how full the dams are and how much water is flowing. I highly recommend to everyone to get a few added on your own front page.

It would be cool to be able to add spots, articles etc to 'my stuff' too ;)
