New guy looking for first kite to use on the Thames river. 19 years 3 months ago #1967

Hi

Just had enough of sitting hours in front of my computer and want to do some exercise.

I want to go on trips on The Thames river starting in London where I live packing my kite with a compact tent, sleeping bag food for 2 days and some worm clothes and canoing down to cool locations and camping there. Then coming back to london. I live in greenwitch so will carry all the gear on my back to the river. So all needs to be fairly light.

Please suggest a kit and place where to pick it up. I've already got my tent and all camping gear. Now only need good canoe, paddle, sprydeck and am off.

Was looking on ebay but don't have a clue what to buy. Are there any good shops in London where I can have a look at canoes and talk to experts about it?

Though about this little c1 playboat but will my gear fit in there?

Please help...

if u want to put camping gear into a kayak then u should by a touring kayak with space in it to put all ur stuff or maybe u could take a look at canadian canoes like this www.kayaksandpaddles.co.uk/canoe/kayak/uk/shop/canoes.htm

this place isnt near greenwich i dont think but just look at the names and go on there websites then find any dealers near you also look into learning the j stroke otherwise canoing on ur own will be a rite chore also heres a good website it has some stuff bout the canoing and kayaking scene near u www.thamesweirproject.co.uk/index.php?main=links

hope this helps u
