Hi

I am looking around for a large creekboat or playboat, ie

jefe gande
burn M/L
Blaze 7.3

Am looking to offer around £400

OR

A whitewater canoe would be especially good ( I have just lost out on ebay!) ie

prelude

I am in the Northwest area, not far from Chester. So, let me know if you folks see or hear or better still - have anything sitting around not getting used.

Play safe

Neal

Neal, how tall/heavy are you?

I have a Jackson 4 Fun that could be suitable. It's a river playboat, so is suitable for most of the rivers the UK has to offer, but also has a lot of play in it. Perfect all-rounder, and at a good price.

Matt.

EDIT: That's the boat in my avatar

Hi Matt,

I am 6'4" and weigh 100kg. foot size = 11

does the 4fun handle much weight? I have had a wee look on playak, but just after an opinion as well.

Neal,

I am 6'2", 12 stone and size 11s but found the boat was a tad too big for me.

The optimum weight range is 160-210lbs, which is roughly 70-100kgs, so you'd be at the higher end of the range, making playboating easier. At 6'4" I have confidence that you'd fit in it fine (I have the seat as far forwards as possible, and I'm 6'2")

I personally think it'd be a good boat for you, but as most people will say, I recommend demoing before you buy. You're more than welcome to take it out for a paddle if you happen by this way. What are you paddling at the moment?
