dam release playspots in the southeast US 16 years 2 months ago #24886

like the subject says, i'm lookin for playspots in the southeast US(carolinas, tennessee, etc.) that are dam released. I already know about eternity hole and nantahala but i'm just wondering what else is out there. i try to search AW and see but i'm havin trouble so i'm just lookin for people who have been to these places. I live just outside of asheville NC and i've heard that there are several spots in the near vicinity...any help is appreciated. thanks

Short answer is there is little park n play in WNC...

Long answer:
Legdes park in AVL has some ok play. Can spin all day at s#!t hole. 88 dodgers gives up some great lefties...

Nolichcki, can surf Jaws and carry out or keep going and tear up 1st drop of 1/4 mile. Also big rock is back just remember to pay the campground fee if you use that side...

NOC wave is out at the moment but being rebuilt

Good luck and PM me via here if you want specific directions etc,

"poo" hole is at legdes ww park on the FB north of AVL... If you go north on I 26 exit off at elk mountain rd, Go Left until the road ends.... Go right (rorth) following the river its about 5-7 miles up, on your left, its a small county park
