I live in Norfolk =( Nearest playspot is 15 miles away and that's Horstead Mill which is in on the River Bure. Nene is always a good laugh though =)

The short answer is that there are no good playspots in the south east of england. Especially in Kent.

There are some places with moving water like Yalding, but if you want to go somewhere where you can play boat better than in the local swimming pool then a trip up to the london weirs is what you need.

Sorry for the bad news!

The only good thing to say about kent is that it's nearer to Europe where all the good whitewater paddling is. Come over to Austria and paddle some great whitewater.
