Hey I'm looking for a playboat, I'm located in NZ and on a student budget so am looking at second hand ones.
I weigh 65kgs which is 143-144lbs, am 168cms tall (5ft 6in), shoe size US 8 I think.
I'm looking for something I can practice cartwheeling and also learn to do stalls and loops and other stuff in the surf..
Yeh any help would be great!
Cheers
Toni

I would say a RAD, just because if you look at the side profile, the stern is pretty similar to a surfkayak, but doesn't have as sharp of edges. A boat with low-volume ends like the Fluid Nemesis would be easier to cartwheel, but I don't know much about it. The best boat for cartwheeling would be a boat made around 2000, like the Wave Sport X.

In my opinion you should try the jackson all-star, the best playboat in the market.;)

Chur, I tried out a Jackson Star, pretty cool, really easy to throw round on flatwater, not sure if its too small for me but its super comfortable :)

go see the guys at bliss stick. they are located just east of taihape. see what they say. the RAD isnt the best flat water cartwheeler cuz the bow has so much volume for those legendary loops but with good technique then should be fine. i dont know about the volumes of the flip stick but it loos pretty slicy. go see them they will help you out.

also you are a little on the light side for the allstar but you should be ok. the perfect weight for playboating acording to jackson is about 170Ibs but you only an inch shorter than EJ so your the perfect height for it. and if you want to cartwheel go for an older longer slicier boat like cjcc said. if your going for all out huge air then go for the rad.
