Hi,

Is anyone interested in joining a small group of English speaking paddlers for a whitewater rescue course in the Tirol?

Swiftwater Rescue Europe are based in the Tirol and can offer a Whitewater Rescue Technicians (WRT) course. If we can pull together a group of six people they can run a course for us in English over two days at a cost of €199 per person. This could either be done over one weekend or alternatively we could split it over a couple of weekends to allow the possibility of combining the course with some paddling.

I've not yet looked in to what accommodation is on offer but I imagine we could either look for a hotel or seek out a campsite. Either way I would think this could be a family friendly trip - with plenty for the non-paddlers to see and do in the area.

Please note that the course that I'm proposing is aimed at kayakers in particular. The price that has been quoted assumes that people have their own kit but I believe that there is a possibility to hire this for the course at an additional cost. The kit list for the course is listed on the website, but briefly it includes: boat (inc airbags), paddle, deck, wetsuit, pfd, helmet, throw bag, river knife, krab(s), first aid kit and suitable foot wear.

Please PM me if you might be interested.
