how tall are you? do you have access to any make of kayak or only a couple? of the top of my head you being 11stone id say at a guess your about 5'8" - 5'10" so pretty much take your pick from any mid weight playboat i.e. you have the project 45-52and62 youd probly be the 52.

since you have access to wavesport and dagger.. then maybe you can find some older playboats that won't break the bank but still be good boats.

Check out the Wavesport Project 45 or 52, probably the 52 would be better for you as sparx was saying

Also check out the dagger kingpin 6.2,

These are two boats you could find used for a decent price. One other option is to look for a used 2004-2006 Jackson Star. Not a 2007, but a 2006 and younger model. The JK star will have better plastic and is more likely to be in better condition as you check out hull strength, integrity, brittleness, and oil canning.

One thing, are you in any paddling clubs or have access to any? if so you should try and search some out, generally someone in the club will know which people dealers around the area. for example, I don't have any whitewater shops near by, but I know 2 people that are boat reps and can sell me either a bliss stick or drago rossi. - so try and find info on any boat reps near you to open up your options.

project. imo its the second best playboat on the market after the allstar. i cant fit in a 52 and im way too far back in the allstar so i paddle a bliss stick RAD 185 which is i think the 3rd best boat on the market.

kingpin is an awsum boat tho. so youd do well with both.

the project. Easier to roll, more forgiving edges (smoother when transitioning edges) and probably better for running a rapid in.. Plus I love the wavesport Outfitting. The project won 2005 best playboat of the year and the design has not changed since it's introduction. Some may think it is starting to be outdated but I think it's a true testament to it's design.

I have found that the project lands right in the middle when you start talking about quickness on a wave, looseness, ease of cartwheeling, edging, etc. when you consider all the other boats out there.. different boats will be better in different characteristics, some worse. It doesn't excel in one specific area, but boat is good all-around. MOST importantly- I would suggest trying both boats at least, so you get something that suits you.

I have a project... so I could be biased :P

if your 5'7" and im guessing youl probably be better off in a 45 but i cant tell you if youve stopped growing etc. so if you can afford to buy a 45 now and sell it off in a year or 2 if you get any bigger, you might stay the same height and keep it. how big are your parents, relatives etc. if you get a 52 itl probably be too big but you may grow into. personaly id go for a 45 if your in the weight limit and you can always sell it, swap it or whaterver in a year or 2 or 3? chech out the boats DB or wavsport website for the weight limits.
