I am a big nomad fan, although i would suggest that most of the current creek boats are reasonably close in terms of performance

Have owned a Blunt, Salto, Nomad, Jefe and now a Solo. As well as paddling the Gus, Burn, Kanarli, Mystic and Mamba. Favourite would have to be the big Nomad. Very fast but agile for its size and good at crushing anything in its way. However its a bit big for me.
Next boat will be a Mystic as I found it similar to the nomad but just a little bit smaller and with nice bombproof plastic.

There are many good boats out there.
I paddeled a Nomad for 2 or 3 years, and loved it. The only thing I hate is that there is no room behind the seat to put your stuff, good luck putting an extra paddle, camera and all the important stuff you need. Maybe the Mamba is better, but I hear it is a different boat to paddle than the Nomad.

Currently I have an Eskimo Salto. This is a good boat, would be a great boat if it had the Dagger seat and fittings, but then it would probably also be an expensive boat. After spending a whole season fitting it just right I am very happy with it.

I paddeled the Bliss Stick Mistic once on a hard river, as hard as I can paddle comfortably. This was my first time in a creeker for 6 months, first time in a Bliss Stick, first time in this river and paddling the first time with the other paddlers. Many firsts in this trip. Over all I enjoyed it and was happy with the boat.

I think the Jefe is to big, I like the Jefe Cico. I haven't paddeled it on any thing serious so I wont say more than it looks dam good. I worry that there might be to many things it that could break??? I don't know but there are many things in side this boat.

Then I hear that the Riot Magnum is the best creeker ever made, I heard it from a guy who heard it from Steve Fischer :) but still he (Steve) must know a thing or two about creek boats

I have both the Mamba and the Nomad (8.5 size). They are pretty similar when it comes to the room behind the seat, atleast when it comes to how to access it (the Nomad has more room there).

I can confirm that the boats are different to padle. The Mamba has got more edges, and is more stable, while the Nomad has less stability but is more forgiving. The Mamba is wider, so it feels like a bigger boat to handle than the Nomad. Since the Nomad has less edges it needs to be paddle more agressively with more edging in/out of eddies etc.
