It's now possible to connect your accounts on Playak and Facebook (see the Login box on the left).

What it does right now:

- Import your Facebook profile info into your Playak profile.
- Allows you to write Facebook comments underneath Playak articles.

I'm planning to add more functions, but I want to make sure I'm working on the right things, so I need you input. What sort of Facebook applications make most sense for PLayak. Some things I have in mind:

- Kayak Quiver: you can add any boat from the boats database to your own profile (e.g. I want a ... - I love the ... - I am selling a ...), or propose a boat to your friends (e.g. mr.x thinks the ... will be just right for your paddling style)
- Trip Planner. Plan a paddling trip and invite your friends.
- Paddle Log: Keep track of your paddling sessions: I paddled x minutes / y miles yesterday on a lake / whitewater IV , and show the latest sessions on your profile.

Please let me know what you think. Are those usefull applications? Do they already exist? Better ideas?

Cheers,
Jeroen

You can now invite your Facebook friends to join you on Playak:

playak.com/fb.php

The system is clever enough to exclude Facebook friends that already have an account on Playak, but only if they have also connected their Facebook and Playak accounts, otherwise there is no way of knowing. But even if they already have a Playak account, they can use your invitation to connect their Playak and Facebook accounts!

Enjoy,
Jeroen

PS still waiting for ideas for more Facebook services on Playak (or Playak services on Facebook for that matter) :)

Your latest Facebook photos are now shown in your Playak profile. They are only visible for logged in users who also connected their Playak and Facebook accounts (and who would also be allowed to view your photos on Facebook), so please invite your friends to connect:

playak.com/fb.php

Enjoy,
Jeroen
