Opinions on a creeker (thinking of Critical Mass) 15 years 5 months ago #28399

Well as the title says, Im just looking for some peoples opinions on the critial mass by DR. Im looking for a new creeker and one that I can literally run into the ground. Little bit about stats
Im 6.2 and about 120kg so im a fairly big guy , shoe size 12.
So all opinions are welcome good and bad.
Oh and if a few specific questions.
What do you think of the stern hatch?
What do you think of the elite outfitting as opposed to normal outfitting?
Does it really handle and turn as well as any foot shorter creeker if not better?

Anyone with negative views please, feel free to recommend another boat but atleast give a few reasons why.Cheers in advance.

Little D.

It:

Turns easy (at least as easy as many shorter creekers, Nomad etc)
Is heavy
Outfitting feels OK, I like the sitting position
Overall work quality is bad, but the plastic feels ok
The hatchet is pretty watertight, when you seal all the bolts etc with aquasure or sikaflex etc (otherwise not!)
Feels easy to paddle, but not so fast you could expect for its length
The stern rails are more aggressive you could expect...

Me, 6´3" = 190 cm, 90 kg, I think the boat is nice, (not brilliant, not bad)

i know somone who has one, he loves the hull design, but the footrest broke without to much effort apparently the problem is not just a manufacturing fault, it is some sort of shock absorbing system that is supposed to give way instead of you ankles, but it breaks too easily
