Hello again,
I am wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a spray skirt for a dagger agent 6.0. i was looking into the lucky charm by IR for a while and was told yesterday that i should look at the klingon due to a convex curve around the knee area of the boat. apparentely with a rand style skirt (lucky charm) they tend to bridge across that curve, making the boat alot less dry. it makes alot of sense but i have my concerns with bungee style skirts like the klingon. the last time i used one was around 4-5 years ago, and i really didnt like it. i dont remember who it was made by but I found the skirt popped up around the sides of the boat, right above the hip area and it was easy to slide off when using an overthruster. i also found them alot less dry.
have the bungee skirts gotten alot better within the last couple years? or should i stick with a rand style? id rather have a wet boat than one with a skirt that keeps popping off.
also does anyone use a bungee style for playboating? Everyone i go with uses a rubber rand style skirt.

I prefer the rubber rand. Usually a touch harder to get on but they hold tighter in my opinion. Check out a deck from Seals. I've got the ProRand and it's very sweet: www.sealsskirts.com/prod_ww_prorand.html

Some bungee decks are still very good, like the decks from Snap Dragon, so you can't discount them entirely. I'd say it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.. Not all rubber rands are awesome too

You can say that, the sealskirt I won from platak is very hard to get on!! :-)

Of the rubber rands I've tried (Palm, Level 6, Seals, IR) the Seals has been the easiest to get on. Some gym? :P

The whole idea behind the Klingon was that the neoprene fold goes between the bungee and the rim, providing a very dry seal. I will say that the type of bungee matters as well, as I have two different bungee skirts, one of which retailed for half as much as the other, and the more expensive one is extremely dry. What boat do you have?

its a dagger agent 6.0. have you have any issues with the either skirt regarding it popping off above your hips or completely coming off?

As long as I remember to tuck the sides in once I put the skirt on, I haven't had a problem. That said, I only use my Project 52 for easy playboating right now, with the intention of roll practice, but I take my Fluid Solo on the Wilderness channel at the USNWC all the time and have never had a problem with my Shockwave, which I feel leaks like a sieve compared to my Super Bungee (although I've had the shockwave for 3+ years now, and that was before I realized the hole in the deck). Most of the time, I grab the Shockwave anyways, and from ELF class IV to the big water III+ where my head is sometimes the only thing out of the water, it has yet to implode. I'd go with a large deck for sure in a bungee skirt, and not sure about a rand (go to skirtfit.com for that info).

Any neoprene that goes between the bungee and the deck effectively makes the cockpit rim shallower, making it more likely that your deck will burst as the bungee has less distance to travel before it jumps off the rim, in my opinion. Is the extra dryness worth it, you decide?

wet it and leave it on your boat for a few days. mine was hard and now fits very nicely.

Check out this video, it explains the difference between rand and bungee and the pro's and con's of each:

I know what the differences are and the pros and cons. My main concern is whether or not a rand stlye skirt would be okay with a dagger agent. The Cockpit is shaped odd around the knee wells which may cause the rubber rand to "bridge" across the cockpit, allowing water in between the bridge and into the boat.
I was wondering if a bungee style skirt would be better. Im only worried about it because of bad past experiences with bungee style skirts. They would pop off around the cockpit just above the hip area, leaving the skirt half on/half off, and i also found them less dry. I mainly wanted to know whether anyone has had bad experiences with the bungee style, or if someone has a dagger agent and what works best for them.
I plan on taking on some class III/IV ww and alot of playboating.
