Road Trip B.C - California 13 years 7 months ago #31619

Hey Guys and Girls.

Im Taking a big trip this year leaving The U.K at christmas for good old N.Z. At the moment I am booked to leave N.Z on the 28th Apr. Flying direct to Vancouver. My knowledge on U.S boating is pretty limited. Was hoping to hit B.C early on and then make my way south through Washington, Oregon Etc. with the idea of finishing up in Cali and taking in the infamous upper cherry creek come early summer (This time next year?). Has anyone else made a similar trip? Anyone else interested in similar next year? Would be looking at buying some kind of clapped out truck for the journey. Or even better meet up with others doing the same thing and split fuel driving etc. Whats the situation with registering/Insuring cars in the U.S? The more info I can get the better.

Appreciate the help

hey,

i live in BC and could help with some contacts here for sure closer to the dates. early may there are some options in the coastal range and on van. island but too early for alot of the mainland runs. you might be better off starting in the south and working your way north to BC.

i am considering going to NZ around christmas time for 2 months. may have a camperized van lined up and would be doing alot of boating but also some surfing. send me an email at satori76ATgmail.com for more info.

cheers. chris
