If there is enough water there is the mighty flower pots weir in Exeter. There is the tidal playspot of Hayle Sluice (kind of north west Cornwall works 3hrs before high tide at newquey and I recomend going when the tide is over 6.5m). There is spot X if yolu can persuade anyone to tell you where it is and I belive Dan king knows the whereabouts of another Cornish playspot (secret spot) but I am not sure of it's location or when it works.

Over the last couple of years the squirt boating scene has really taken off in Exeter as they have some really good summer squirt spots.

Hope this helps a little,
Denzil

P.S. if you are a south west paddler you should be able to get more specific info at www.SWPaddlers.co.uk

No worries,

Hope to see you on the water at one of the local spots (llok out for a guy with a big beard in a vibe using watersticks).

Hi,
what about Stevenage and surroundings?
Is there something to paddle around there?

I had a work opportunity some times ago.

Actually I don't know if it is in the south west england.

Stevenage is more south east and unfortunatly I do not really know what the very local area is like up there but you are not too far away from the thames weirs or the Nene and HPP whitwater courses.
