Creeking in C-Boats 19 years 1 month ago #5154

So I've seen some footage of C-1ers creeking. What do other people think about this? For my 2 cents, it strikes me (a fellow C-1er) as a pretty sketchy thing to do, as we don't have a low brace on one side. Wouldn't this make it freakin dangerous in the wrong situation? Should I buy a creeker to convert, or should I clean up my kayaking skills?

I would improve kayaking skills. I know a really good C-boater who kayaks on the hard class V stuff. Also along w/ the brace thing there is the issue of when one flips their head is further below the water. Great chance of hitting the face.

i have my playboat C1, but keep my creeker C1 for that reason, but some people i paddle with are awesome in C1 creekers, you just need to be good enough. C1 at its full potential is better than K1 at its full potential, its just harder to get to that level in a C1...
