Dagger G-ride 6.5 ?? 19 years 11 months ago #574

i am 193...94kg and kayak the g-ride for 1 year now...

there's nothing ot complain about it performs well for the playboating type but i do guess for the full on rodeo you want to look at something like kingpin...

as allrounder the g-ride rocks....it gives you the full spectrum of play as well as enough volume to go out for some hair...i obviously do NOT RECOMMEND the boat for difficult rivers, as it does miss the safety issues of a creeker...but nonetheless...it goes well on many of the hard drops as well as on big volume....

the only drawback (i am not sure if they have changed it yet) was the 'soft' frontdeck which tended to give away once you get into bowstalls and loops...this issue i had solved with some aluminium build as support...

the other small issue was the backband which started to rub your back open...

both issues i do think are not there anymore with the new models...if you are hardcore you might consider to rework the hippads to give you a stronger support but the standard works fine and good all the way for the usual use...

overall a great boat, dagger supreme quality, a lot of features to adjust thighbraces, backrest, seat (all of it done very very easily). it will get you down any river (forget about the creek stuff though because of safety!!), big volume, rocky creek, exellent for play runs and wavesurfing...

and it fits my big feet (45) too...
