Not an actual kayaking post, but thought I'd put this out there.

I just got a PM thru playak from the folks mentioned in the subject line offering to make me their "US Payment Representative"

I'm not sure how many of these messages they sent out but don't send them back! :stop:

I googled the company and this was the first link I found:

It's a phishing scam out to get your info! :liar:

I thought it was interesting that they would be hitting up a kayaking website......... Speaking for myself anyway, with kayaking as a pasttime, not only have I no free time, there's not much money to go around either!

Here I sit putting all the replies in my own thread, but I saw that they've been posting this message all through the forums as well.........

not much we can do if the idiots are willing to take the time to register at playak and then post such scams. i cannot give everyone a phone call to check if they have good or bad intentions when registering :)

but i can block their accounts if you inform me about it. please mail or PM me their user names as well as the content of the scam and i'll take action.

PS i deleted this particular guy's spams from the forums and blocked his account...
