Any thoughts or experience with the Bliss Stick SCUD? 18 years 11 months ago #5957

Hello
I'm looking for IV/V creeker/big water boat. I think with the SCUD.
Any thoughts or experience with this boat in big water and lowvol creeks?
I'm 5'10'' 170lbs.
Many thanks for your help.

I haven't had a chance to paddle the SCUD much but it is an excellent allrounder. Plenty of volume and paddles just like a playboat so need to alter your paddling style just because you're going creeking. The rails make peeling into eddies a piece of cake and there's enough rocker to make those must make boofs easy. It's also very fast and loose on a wave (well it does have a RAD hull) so if you were looking for one kayak to do it all then this would be it.

i bought a scud about a month ago and i love it. i'm a smaller padder, 5'7", 130 lbs but i have to use the extra foam that comes w/the boat. w/o the foam a very large easily fits in, like one of my paddling friends who's 6'2, 240 lbs. as far as big water i've ran the cheoah and other rivers at flood stage this year and it does awesome in big water. i've also had the chance to run a few low volume creeks and it does just as well. it boofs like a dream w/the playboat hull, but it is slow compared to other creekers. the volume up front allows you to punch thru munchy holes w/no problem. i started out playboating so im used to the feel and control of a playboat, so this boat fits me perfect. if you want to know anything else just let me know :)
