Think your boat rules? You may want to by a Jackson 18 years 11 months ago #6301

It seems like a guy in a Jackson boat wins every event that is held. Jackson kayaks have dominated all freestyle, boater cross, and slalom events held this year. There was even a clean sweep at both the Reno and American whitewater festivals in the mens freestyle event

I guess it doesn't hurt that you have some pretty amazing guys paddling these boats, but even still, the best kayaker will not win in an inferior boat.

So whatever you currently own, go sell it and get a Jackson kayak. Then you too can win events. It worked for me. After I bought my Nike Air basketball shoes. I won the slam dunk contest. I was pulling moves just like Jordan. :liar: (In my back yard on a trampoline.)

I'm just having a little Fun, 4Fun sake. In fact it's been Super Fun writing this little ditty. So get off your Rocker and let the flaming begin. :fire:

What tricks can you do that makes your boat so great?
What kinda shit are you running that your rocker consistently saves your life?

What an outlandish claim... go out and buy a jackson.

Why don't you go out and buy some lessons so you can learn how to paddle. Get some skills and then realize that boats are like jeans. Not one pair fits everyone.

Let me clue you in:
a. Jackson boats don't win everything. EJ got stomped on buseater. He got like 8th place.
b. EJ is a nice guy and doesn't need computerboaters like yourself to run their mouth and piss everyone else off. You are not helping the company.
c. people like you are the reason why people don't want jacksons. Rediculous statements.

EJ is a good paddler, he knows how to win competitions. He does the moves that he can consistently land. Other paddlers may not get as many points but will consistently go bigger.

BTW, I own a Star and Project45 and I like the Project Way better. I tried the new outfitting. Tightented it really, really well. Did a few loops and poped the backband. The Project has better balance when cartwheeling. Has better bounce and speed. The bow initiates better for looping and cartwheels. I can actually loop my project better. Jackson outfitting is crap. Too much to fiddle with and it always feels different. The footbag valves clog overtime. Also, their indestructable plastic is very harmful to the workers in the factory. Personally, I would rather dishout $100 more dolars to get (a better boat) that does not hurt people.

Don't be a troll

~Sorry about the lack of orginaztion in the next paragraph.

Yes EJ is a great boater. but the biggest loops i have ever seen have been thrown in a Star and they were'nt by EJ. I dont like how long the bow is on the Star series but if you pop the boat then thrust under you can throw HUGE loops. I dont like the backband system in Jackson boats because i have had them pop out alot but, i love the rest, and the happy thrust and seat combo is way sweet. Also the project is newer and that very well could be the reason why it is a better boat but like you said one boat may be great for you but crap for another person. I personally like both boats the Project probably more but i like Jackson kayak as a company 10 times more, but i dont like the toxicicty of the Jackson plastic then again it seems to be really strong. By the way i dont think it is people like aevanlloyd who make people not want jackson boats. And i really would'nt advise saying things like "Why don't you go out and buy some lessons so you can learn how to paddle." do you really know if he is a good paddler or not? probably not.

What people forget is that EJ is a superb hole paddler, but not a wave guy. That guy knows how to paddle a competition, in the way of winning it. He doesnt take risks and has dicipline. Apart from that, he can win a competition in a bloody barn door. People always blame it on the boat, but look what he used to do in a transformer, or worse! :roflol:
Materials make difference, alot of it, but you can't blame it all on the stuff. Yes, jacksons are good boats (i paddle the allstar currently) but the company only builds them for 2 years, and you can see that. The outfitting as most people say is just spartan, if i compare it to my Diesel i'm not sure if i should cry or laugh. It ofcourse has good points as well, and don't forget that the marketing they do (or they don't do!) is very good as well.

Just saying "jacksons are good" is about as stupid as saying coke tastes better then pepsi. It makes no sense, it's personal. Just a pair of jeans like mentioned earlier. I like the allstar, but that doesn't mean i dislike other manufacturers! For river running/creeking i paddle a Diesel. Why? Cause i like the boat, not because someone told me it was good or because it is wavesport.

What was the point of starting this thread at all? Jacksons are nice but unless they were paying me i guess id go on a bit of a rant but other than that id keep quiet. There are lots of places o nthsi sight to give opinions about boats, just posting an opinion as a statement seems a bit much, even if it was just in. Jackson boats are nice but hey,its kinda like BO, please, keep it to yourself. :roflol:

Jackson are fine if you only like paddaling in a hole in a boat with awfull outfitting. Not really a wave boat though is it.

Denzil

P.S. aslo if the crappy inflatable bouncy castle outfitiing bursts on the river (seen in happen) then your screwed.

This is getting interesting. I have found in life that when you dish out a lot of money for gear, (in any sport) and then work your butt off to get good at using that gear, you become loyal to it. It has become a part of your life, you love it, and nobody is going to tell you that it sucks. It's like Mac users VS PC users. You should read some of those posts. Wow :stop:

I could have usd any boat company and the resurlts would have been the same. "Think your boat rules? better go buy a Dagger, Wave sport, LL, :blah: The result would have been the exactly the same.

It's good. I'm stoked that you guys have some passion for what you do. As I said in my original post; It's all in good fun.

Have a great weekend on the water, and enjoy whatever boat you paddle. :group-hug:

its the same with me, i bought an s:6 over a year and a half ago which i loved, i could pretty much do any trick in it then i dislocated my shoulder and had to sell my boat because i was out of work (because of the shoulder) but when i went and bought myself another s:6 once i could paddle again poeple were asking me why was i buying the same boat, the reason was because i was comfortable in the boat and new i could use it to its capability, before i bought a new s:6 i tried many boats and didnt like any of them

I have a 2fun, SICK BOAT. It surfs wickedwell, and it does cartwheels nicely. But kayaks r like cars, there is never going be a car that every body likes. And if u set up the outfitting corretly then it is wicked comforable. :)

Have fun, Keep it real

Jeroen (or however you spell it) took umbrage to my little joke about Emily being the only Jackson I was interested in trying out.

How it breached any of the guidelines, I dunno, but I got a warning from him....... :bitching: :bitching:  :ask: :ask: :ask: :ask: :blah: :blah:         :stop: :stop: :stop:

Well, it's true. Emily is a sweet looking girl, but I think it's a bit weird that her old man lets her look all sexy and tarted out in the ads, just to sell a few boats.

:!: :!: :!:
Anyway, I'll watch my jokes here, from now on.....

WOW... lots of people here wasting their energy and time being negative. EJ is a great peddler and most importantly from what I can tell a kind person. That's more than I can say for many people in this forum. He has his strengths and weaknesses just like any human being, and just like any boat as a matter of fact. If YOU don't like a boat or think it's crap, that doesn't mean that it is crap in the world that exists outside of your own ego (the real world). Make statements about your own opinion because you are entitled to it, but don't make blanket statements as being the absolute truth. The truth is, we are as imperfect as out perception.

Peace in the Middle-East,
Boe
