I paddle a V44 and am pretty stoked on it. Fast boat for it's size, reminds me of a Kingpin that doesn't suck on a wave. I like the huge secondary stability and don't mind primary minimal stability, love it for downriver play. Only downside to the boat is if you don't drive it through IV+ or V drops it gets squirrly pretty fast, but isn't too bad if you drive it and pay attention to your edges anywhere near eddies.

Is it a really good and well performing playboat to advance in?

I paddled the v44 and the project 45 and all I remember from the experience was pain. I'm 6'. If your small like 5'9" the vision should be pretty comfy and I've seen that thing thrown around quite a bit, but never sat in it for more than 5 min.

It's a boat you can advance in and do any newschool move. I'd agree on the comfort, I'm 5'6" and it's ok, not horrible but not amazing comfort either, I'd imagine it's hell if you are taller. I'm 145lbs and fit it well, wouldn't want to paddle it if I was over 155.

Yeah you would fit with no issues, I fit with at least 4" of foam in the front of the boat. This seems like a really good deal on one if you are in the states.

Any downfalls to this boat? Anything you dont like?

Only downfall for me is the color, wish I had held out for a yellow one instead of a purple one :) At first it didn't seem possible to get stuff behind the seat, but liquidlogic has a video that shows how their backband works, and I can fit tons of stuff behind the seat so no issue there. I love the boat for playboating, can't think of anything I would change. Downriver, it's a bit edgy and seems unstable at first, but gets better over time and is part of what makes it a great playboat. I find it to be a great mix between hole and wave play, does almost as well in a hole as Kingpin, but the edges and more distinct kick rocker make it much better on waves. I'm not affiliated with LL, I just like this boat a lot so far.

Here is a video from some regular non-sponsored people paddling the vision.

Well since it's brand new you get the killer LL warranty and customer support with it. If you are dying for a purple one I'll trade :)

I would go with the 420 because it's bigger. 650 for a new boat is sweet tho'

All personal choice on that one, I paddled the small 420 and hated it, but I didn't like the S6F either. Too wide and slow edge to edge. But hey some people love it. If you are growing go with something larger than the V44.

i sat in the 420 s-m and i had like 2 inches of room. Would have more, same, or less room in the LL vision 44?

Go with the visoon. havent padled one but it looks like a great split between a hole boat and a wave boat, the best split out there right now in my opinion, shane really outdid himself. Pyranhas, eeh, they dont look bad but ive never scene one rip like the vision

I just got a vision 44 recently and it's an awesome boat. For bigger downriver drops, it takes alittle getting use to because it is squirely but not hard to adapt to. For playing, it's super easy and smooth to throw around and not sticky in holes ... good boat if you want to advance your skills. Mine have got much better already being in this boat ... and it is soo much fun. I love it, I'd say go for it.

I just bought a new v44 3 days ago...it is pretty sweet. I'm 5'7" and around 130lbs. I just retired my pyranha s6 190 for this boat and they are [i:a1670fc421]really[/i:a1670fc421] two different boats. the s6 was pretty fast in holes but the v44 is twice as fast on waves and has a faster get-up-and-go hull. although my initial impression of the retendo-ness of the v44 is slower than the s6, I'm excited about the higher volume in the v44 for loops. carving up to blunt is with some QUICKNESS!

the flows have been so low around here lately that I haven't been able to get on anything bigger yet.

overall, i'm way stoked to have this boat. it fits like a glove and it's just hot sitting still (it's yellow). can't wait until we get some more water...[/i]

Yes well i believe i am too small for this boat and i demoed a 4twenty s-m and fell in love with the boat. So the thought of a 44 is gone. I love the look of the 44 but im too small and dont want a large volumed 56. Maybe later on.
