Hey. I just bought a boat that has the Jackson Happy Feet system installed. Has anyone had experience with this system? How did it work for you? Pros/cons? Any tips will be apprecaiated. Thanks

It took me months to figure it out. What finally got me over the hump was the Jackson Free DVD. Here's what I did, I hope it works for you.

1. Take the happy feet out of the boat
2. Empty out all of the air
3. Blow a few breaths of air into the bean bag and sit down on the ground (with your kayaking shoes on)
4. Sit just how you like to in your kayak and then put your feet into the bean bag (makes two little pockets) Wrap that bag around your feet until you feel like you are getting the support where you want it.
5. Suck all of the air out of the bean bag and close the blue nossle.
6. Put the Happy feet back in your boat and you're good to go.

Once you have done this, it's easy to make minor adjustments to it. The main thing is to suck out all of the air.

Again, refer to the DVD for a visual image of what I explained. Although Jackson never intended for you to set up the HF outside of the boat, I found that it really helps.

Good luck. They're awesome, and once you have it right, you'll never go back.

I've got a 4fun with Happy Feet and they are great. Initially they take some effort to get right but once you work it out any subsequent adjustment is easy. With size 13's
I used to get shredded feet but now my feet are happy!
Read the tips on the Jackson website or get the DVD.
Cheers

Personally i paddle a G-foce, i just cut my own foot pads out of foam blocks, i dont know how it compares to happy feet, but it was probably way cheaper!

The two things I can think of is either get a new bulb or tighten the screw in front of it

Bought an All Star with Happy Feet.. now affectionately known as Sad Feet. The biggest problem I found was that they move around to much when doing tricks. In the end I removed them and cut a foam block to suit and have never looked back. The local club also bought some happy feet for some surf kayaks, but most people have removed them and replaced them with foam.

It should be noted, I and probably no one in the club read the manual....

You can avoid the air moving around by not using the rear air sack/bellows... simply place some foam blocks to fill the void and happy feet away. The rear air sack is intended to slowly transfer air from left to right/vise versa depending on what side you put pressure - the previous should eliminate the transfer. This things feel so nice on my big feet! (once again, make sure you suck all the air out of the main "foot" chamber")
