hey m8,
:stop: demo demo demo i cant stress it enough you need to find a boat that you like. you dont want to get a boat that you will grow out of in no time. some suggestions though could be the dagger G-force 5.9 (old yes but still an awsome boat) the dagger kingpin 6.1 (icon if u can get a hold of 1) pyraha s6 190 some of the wavesport boats i have a big ez but you can get the ez which is smaller the zg 48 or the new project 45 (bit pricy though) i have heard the jackson boats are good but there outfiting can be a bit uncomfortable. the new dagger crazy 88 6.2 is another choice but it might be a bit big. i hope this helps even though it is all :blah: :blah: :blah:

see you on the river

what joeyh said honestly demoing is vital i was so lucky to get a boat i liked without demoing and i will definatley demo next time just go to your local playspot or canoe club and nag people to use their boat.

I hear the Jackson boats are great for the smaller paddlers, and after you see the promo video which explains the outfitting, it is supposedly very comfortable.

Yeah, that what I hear, one of my friends who is also pretty big sat in one and was amazed at how comfortable it was. If you are 6 ft though, then you could probably fit in lots of boats. Im 6'2ish and I Love the Necky Vibe, which is a pretty small boat.

Overall you need to find a boat that best suits you. It must be compatable with what boating you take part in so dont go getting a full on play boat if you paddle rivers quite freqyently above grade 4. Also it must suit your size and weight range and your skill level of paddling.

oh wow, thats light, in that case the only boa that would bprobably fit you is one of the jacksons. either the fun one or fun 1.5

I think the only boat you could use to play would be the fun one.

being only small and light i'd definatly go for the jackson fun boats.. there only small boats but are a very good playboat. Id go and check em out at your local paddling shop and see if you can have a play before you buy.

if you are going to try a star, then definitely try someone's Air45 (which is like a high performance star).
And, if you are aggressive (which many teens are) then get yourself into a Squashtail. Allow your natural abiltiy to learn faster than us adults to your advantage. You'll be able to figure out the Squashtail MUCH faster than most of us, and will be an exceptionally better boater for having done so.
