I ve watched a fair amount of kayaking movies and all, and it seems to me that you never see pyranhas going big. I dont have anything against pyrnaha, there kayaks seem good, but i dont think ive even seen one go even kinda big in a movie, there creekers, sure, but not playboats. Whats with that? Do they just ahave bad PR just not many people padlle htem.

ur right this is strange............. :ask:

pyranha boats are used to the highest levels in comps but never realy seen on videos, i dont even think they do their own promo vid!!

many people paddle them but some how they dont seem to seek cutting edge promotion.

i realy hope we get to see them out and about in the hands of the pros soon.

here ya go... Right here on playak. Theres a guy in this vid that paddles a pyranha and he's quite good, granted he's not a pro, but makes me think about the brand.

Cool vid, I have noticed this aswel it is strange. Pyranha's are quite capable of going jus as big as any other boat but ya dont reely see them doin so. may be they are a bit more discrete.

The promo really isnt worth watching, and the video on playak, most of the boats who are "going big" (going better than me, but still not really all that good, if you ask me) arent pyranha. There is the one green and yellow one, but the rest are Riot and dagger. Not to say anything against Pyranha, I like their boats, just these clips arent proving anything.

i have an s:6 190 and i find that they dont get a lot of air unless i use an over thruster, when i put mine on i get some decent air usually 2-3 feet in a pool but without it i can bearly pull off a floop

with all that said though get me a nice steep wave and they will bounce better than most boats

I have an S6F and find i can get a fair bit of air, i think only becaus i am at the very bottom of the weight range. I found the S6F had a bit less volume than other playboats of a similar size.

the 4 twenty is a good boat but i still prefere the s:6 because its a good all rounder boat, it will play on pretty much any water feature easily where as the 4 twenty needs a bit of a push unless its a big hole

Pyranha did win the big trick contest in vail at the teva games. Jared Seiler got 20" of air with his loop. Todd Baker did a 22" loop in his project but got flushed so lost 6". so they can go big :yes:
