DR Pintail: river runner extraordinaireee 18 years 9 months ago #7643

I've been having a total blast in mine all spring. I'm surpised by how it's both an exciting boat AND an easy boat to paddle. Of course that's what I has hoping for as my shoulder heals from surgery, but I"m a bit suprised at just how good it is.

I've been a fan of MOST of Corran's designs but I really think that the Pintail displays his experience that reached back to the days of 11 foot long kayaks. The Pintail would be a good transition boat for someone looking to get out of their RPM, but not wanting to just get into a square boxy stretched spud boat.

The Pyranha I:3 series is nice, but doesn't edge as well as the Pintail (which has tons of secondary stability)

I'm curious what other people's positive experiences have been with teh Pintail......
