playboat size..t3 18 years 8 months ago #8600

I have a T3 and I like it no matter what people say about them....LOL

Anyhow I think the t3 is rated some where around 180-220. if you know Im wrong, post it:)

I can carthwheel bow, stern, bow and sometimes more on FLAT water.
And then i cant seem to keep it moving on moving water much past the stern back to the bow.

Im thinking its has to much volume in the stern for my weight and it just pops me out of rotation.

Im thinking of moving to a smaller boat with a slicey stern, lower volume.

Oh wait I can throw a smaller boat and cartwheel all day long.

But is this some thing the wavesport t1t2t3t4 just isnt good for, maybe just a bigwater flying cork?

Just trying to hear what others have to say about it.

Thanks
mic

Heya! I used to paddle a T3, loves it, though it deffinetely was way too big for me (I am about 78 kg - sorry, don't know what it is in stones, pounds, cucumbers... or what ever other people measure). The river runnung capability was great. I agree with the \"flying cork\" description, that kayak had a violent bounce on waves (especialy on the sea wave). I actually never quite felt that I could fully control the bounce :bounce:. I couldn't stall it and cartweeling on flat was a mission.
I moved on to LL Vision - this one actually MADE me progress more in the way of having to use proper technic. Plus it carves unbeleavably well. I am able to carve to the side on the very steep sea waves, the king that I could only fall off and get a beating in the T3. Those rails on the Vision are great. The boat is MUCH slicier and MUCH lighter.
So, as much as I liked my T3 and it was good for me - moving on to the next boat was a serious boost.
Enjoy and cheers. :roflol:

Cool thanks! I have not realy found anyone that has paddled that boat and said it was hard to throw around. Frankly I didnt think that they did, they never explained the handling of the boat right. \"A lot of mr know it alls that didnt know sh!t, Im starting to guess!\"

GUESS THE HUNTS ON...for a new boat!!!

Got your eyes set on anything particular?
I can't wait to see what the new LL Ronin is like. Anyway, there is a lot of nice toys around.
