Pyranha S6X 195 Footrest + Synchro Outfitting 18 years 8 months ago #8879

I recently bought a Pyranha S6X 195 second hand after a 9 year gap from the sport.

It has no footrest fitted. I am adjusting the outfitting and adding extra padding to thigh grips etc at the moment and have ordered an inflatable footrest and foam block. I also have what appears to be a Shoc-bloc footrest but no padding or instructions just a plastic shaped \"thing\" with pull cord attached.

What is the best way to do this?
I can't fit the Shoc-Bloc thing as centre pillar in way and it will not fit round gap at end. It should have foam behind it apparantly anyway. Should I just carve some foam to fit the front of kayak to form a solid foam footrest? Or use the inflatable with foam behind?

The Syncho outfitting is good apart from the hip grips are too wide - previously padded by smaller ass'd paddler then me. Is it worth upgrading to the Synchro 4 system on Pyranha website?

Does anyone know of any aftermarket thigh grips and backrest's that would integrate with the Synchro Ratchet system?

If by inflateable footrest you mean one of those beanbag things I think youre just supposed to use them on their own. Though theres nothing to stop you putting foam in as well/instead if you want to. Depending what version outfitting you have, there might be a pocket on the back of the hip pad for adding extra foam shims. If the previous owner did this you can just pull them out to adjust the fit.
