I got 2split cartwheels but both of these were after a million times fallin on my head. +i cant work out why i had more control when i did them. Tuomas Offline Elite Member Posts: 149 Thank you received: 1	Concentrate on edging the boat from your hips and keeping your weight over the boat. When you aren't tilting the boat enough with your hips you have to compensate it by leaning over too much which lead to falling on your head. Good luck

I think I fell on my head for oooh about 6 months after learning to double pump. Stick with it, you'll get there!
I used to use too much edge at the start, try going into your double pump at 60 - 70 deg rather than 90 deg until you get used to the feeling of doing two ends at low angles, then gradually add more edge til you get them completely vertical.
Also practice your superclean carthwheels, using no paddles at all. You won't get it vertical but you'll get the feeling of using your edge transfer rather than weight transfer to get two or four or seven ends!

hi muireann..tanx again...think u adviced me d star wld fit me on freestyle couple wks ago+yep its prefect.

I had already been told pretty much d same bout practicin the cartwheel at lower angles b4 i read this but tanx...i have 2 ends now, just workin on d third....im not anticipating d third end enough so end up nearly stern stalling+then bow falls on top of me......so back to lower angles +more head/body rotation i reckon....
