Wow, this boat has been sooo much fun working on and paddling. The goal is to create a playboat that opens up new moves on the smaller features most paddlers have access to, while pushing what's possible on the biggest features too. We weren't designing it for cartwheel based moves, but I took it to the National Championships at Rock Island and won.....sweet, it's great in a hole too! Very fast, super loose, incredible carving on waves, narrow for ease of edge transfers and initiation, volume in the right places to maximize pop for airloops, airwheels, etc while keeping it smooth for cartwheels (Jimmy Blakeney).

If you're happy, you're successful.

I just sold my Necky Chronic because of foot room issues. I loved the boat itself but got sick of cramming my size 10.5 feet down inside of it for 2 years. Does anyone have a suggestion on a new boat that will give that little bit of extra foot room with out having to go way up in volume? I don't fit in the Project 52, my legs are too long. I was thinking the WS ZG 54, or maybe even trying out the Agent 6.2

Suggestions???

Cheers

AGENT 6.2 COMFY!!! 18 years 1 month ago #13983

Try the AGENT 6.2...it's the sweetest fitting playboatboat I have evr been in for comfort! I couldn't fit comfortablly in the Project 52 or ZG last year so went with the Crazy 88. The Dagger Crazy 88 had an outrageous amount of room for 50 gal. and 29 pound weight. I was in the Agent proto in October and the production one a week ago. You are going to think you died and went to heaven it's even more comy then the Crazy was! Dont know where yopu are but they are just stating to ship the 6.2 Good Luck!

The ZG54 is real comfy and a lovely boat to boot. i recently changed from it to a project and man I'm hurtin in the project.
The ZG has been around a bit longer and its reputation as a good boat is well known. You might even get one second hand. The Agent is a newbie and thus is trading on newbie hype for the moment its pedigree has yet to be proven. I've not paddled or even seen one so can't comment on it. for the moment i guess anybody who's paddled it has some relationship with Dagger so you may wan't to put on the bullsh*t filters and try it for yourself.
Deferent style's of paddling suit different boats so what i like may not be your preference but as an unsponsered regular joe paddler I can recommend the ZG.
Equally happy in waves or holes. Very forgiving when going large or small good speed and well balanced. Comfortable well thought out fittings.
Hope this helps
Bren

I've had my ZG for more than two years now. It's a solid boat. Outfitting is the best I've come across. Super comfortable. I'm about 6 foot and 187lbs (85kg). I have the seat all the way forward and still have a nice chunk of foam up front. No complaints. Holes/Waves it rocks. On ocean waves it's really good. Loads of bounce even on smaller waves. Cartwheels are really, really easy and the boat just slices through the water feeling very balanced. Just my opinion. Use it, don't use it. ;-)

For running tougher rivers it isn't the best. Especially with some gear inside, but then again it's not supposed to be a river runner.

Compared to most spud boats, it is a great river runner, as well as an excellent playboat. I feel perfectly comfortable running class 4 in my 48.

Well, maybe your definition of difficult rivers is different to mine.

I wasn't meaning that class 4 is really tough whiteater, I was just clarifying my views for the benefeit of the guy with the questions. no harm done, though:)
