The new classic. The people's playboat. Forgiveness melds with performance, style meets precision, comfort becomes aggression. It's learning to blunt, it's finally getting a line dialed, it's showing off for tourists at the bridge hole, it's whatever you want to do today and something else entirely different tomorrow. No rules, No limits, No comparison.

If you're happy, you're successful.

How much do you weigh?
How long have you been paddling?
What is your anticipated use of the boat?

I paddled a 6.9 last summer and found it to be a very forgiving boat. Easy to roll, predictable edges, but too big for me at 175lbs. Getting the bow down for cartwheels was often a challenge for me at that weight. I think I would have been very happy with the 6.7 instead, but am now looking at a Jackson Star or Project 52.

if you are looking at the star and project do yourself a favor and check out the Dagger Agent 6.2. I did all three in demo and the fit and experience of the Agent made me buy it! Good luck, Rick

What is the maximum height that someone could be to fit into the Agent 6.2? I have heard that it has lots more space than both the allstar and the project. i can just fit the old Allstar.

I felt like the Project 52 fit me like a glove. Also, I've had mediocre experience with Dagger in the past. Their plastic is sometimes sub-par and prone to oil-canning (as it was on my 6.9) whereas I was very impressed with the quality of the Project's plastic.

Are ypu sure about the WS plastic?. My experience with a ZG54 was very bad.

Now i think all the Dagger and WS boats are made in the same factory.

Go for Star, Project or Agent if you practice in a great wave

For a versatile playboat check the EZG, the RX, the Fun or the four twenty. More adapted to the European rivers.

I haven't seen this years WS boats, but I did just check out an Agent and the plastic was better than on my RX. Last year when I compared the RX and the Project side by side it was no contest, the WS boat had more of a quality feel.

Dagger and Wave Sport are made in the same factory. I am disappointed with the quality of both my Wave Sport boats, as far as plastic goes. Seems a little soft. Normal scratches go very deep and seem to gouge out the plastic. If I leave the boat in the sun during scouting/lunch etc and I sit on the boat, it dents in. Seems way too soft.

This happened to my EZG 60 the first time I used it. The dent has NEVER popped out. Pretty bummed about that. My Necky Blunt is far older, has seen more action than any of my boats and doesn't have any damage close to that.

That's what my RX looked like, except theres a big center rib that runs down the middle. Are WS and Dagger owned by the same company or simply made in the same factory? They can stil use different manufacturing processes in the same plant.

They're both owned by Confluence Watersports .

Owned by Confluence. The process is the same with 95% of kayaks. Roto-moulded. The plastic could be different between Dagger and Wave Sport. I have no idea. That dent was from a rock. Not from prolonged use (aka 'oil canning'). I am quite wary now of them. They seem to go up and down.

I know they used to use cross-linked. Now I think they're using linear.

The more you know, thanks for the info Adrian and kernel. I knew about the roto-molding, but not about them being owned by the same group. Does anybody know somewhere I could actually find out whether the two are made with different plastics? No other reason that I'm a curious bastard.
